Perfect Walking Weather

September has finally arrived – a month of perfect walking weather. The heat has started to abate (ok, fair enough, since we never see 80ºF at the house, we don’t expect much sympathy on that one), but the brutal cold of winter is still a couple of months away. The tourist traffic is down with the end of summer vacation and before the fall foliage kicks in its annual colorful show.

The junior crew charges up the driveway for the beginning of our walk.

We have many loop trails we do from the house, but with very few visitors for the next few weeks, our common path is simply the road down and around the ski area and back up through our lower field.

A family walk.

And the best fun of coming back up through our lower field? Trying to drag the Hu-Dad on a rabbit chase.

Rabbits

Rabbits. Must chase rabbits.
