We worked hard throughout WinterFest Smoky Style yesterday. Oh, sure, there were those sled dogs doing demonstrations, and weight pulling dogs moving heavy objects, and law enforcement dogs proving they can sniff out contraband and can tackle bad guys . . . but we had to look cute for over 700 visitors. We even had to let them scratch our ears and rub our necks.
Do you know how hard it is to hear how cute you are . . . over and over all day long.
Being in charge of security, I had to warn the Hu-dad about each of the 700 people as they approached.
Handsome. I had to be handsome all day long.
Don’t worry, though, we made it through the whole day.
Well, most of us.
The life of a working breed is simply not for everyone.
