The weather predictions were lovely (if you are a Herd of Siberian Huskies). Up to a foot of snow along the Tennessee / North Carolina line. We haven’t seen a foot of snow all winter long and haven’t seen more than an inch of snow in any storm since Thanksgiving Day. So our hopes were high.
So what happened? We were robbed again.
Where is the rest of it?
As Hu-dad is assembling this post, the storm is not over, but all signs are that the bulk of the storm passed north of us . . . again.
I am wishing for more. Wishing for more. Wishing for more.
Anyway, the entire Herd is once again disappointed by the total lack of snow. Well, almost the entire Herd.
Then we can run and play in the snow and tackle each other in the snow and wrestle in the snow and . . .
Let the older ones gripe and complain. I’m gonna have fun!

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.

Mom sez: Your part of the world must be similar to ours, here in the South Peace area of Northern BC. Most times, when there’s a “Heavy Snowfall Warning” in effect for our area, we just catch the edge of the storm, end up with not much more than a skiff of snow. The North Peace and the Chetwynd BC area, just to the south of us, get the brunt of it.
