The humans seem to have this thing called leftovers, food prepared for a meal but not eaten that is saved for a future meal. To dogs that take great pride in polishing their bowls at every single meal, this concept of leftovers is foreign.
Apparently, unlike our food that is carefully measured for every meal, the humans hunt at something called a grocery store where the prey is always in some odd-sized container that few human families number. Apparently, the meaning of merchandising is to make the humans buy more than they need.
Thus, the humans always package up what they don’t eat, stick it in the refrigerator, and throw it into the trash several days later when it starts smelling really, really good. Some sort of strange human ritual.
Of course, we offer to eliminate all leftovers for them, but they refuse our help. Humans – there is no explaining their behavior.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
How about the “doggie bags” that our peeps come home with and they don’t even give it to us doggies!!! How rude!!! BOL!
Looks like that hip surgery was a success. 🙂
Ice sez: Owoooo, ‘Tasha, you must be a very lucky girl, being allowed to help out in the kitchen like this. I wouldn’t even THINK about trying to help clean counter-tops. I just lie on the mat by the patio door, and hope someone will “drop” something, and once they do, THEN it’s “fair game”.
