Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary

The Herd would like to pause and wish our hu-grandparents (our cousin Tartok’s mom and dad) a Very Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary.  What a spectacular couple they are:

And here, in a very special picture, is our hu-great-granddad (whom we never met, but our hu-dad remembers fondly) escorting our hu-grandmother down the aisle:

An anniversary party has been arranged this afternoon in the Town Pavilion (yes, we live in a small enough town where there is “the Town Pavilion”) with a big spread of food, relatives, friends … huh?  Wait?  The Herd is not invited.  We can not imagine any event where The Herd would not add a little spice.

Ok, ok – Our humans will be going and we will be snoozing at the house.  Despite that horrific revelation, we want to wish our hu-grandparents a spectacular 50th anniversary.

P.S. – Some ONE better bring us some leftover food!

    Happy Anniversary to your grandparents! I do agree with you that you should have been invited, but maybe they were afraid that Rusty would get into the cake like Steve in the Frosting Incident of 2007!

    Isn’t this also known as the Golden Wedding Anniversary?

    Congrats to your grandparents, Herd!

    Here are a few lines from Ogden Nash:

    To keep your marriage brimming,
    With love in the wedding cup,
    Whenever you’re wrong, admit it;
    Whenever you’re right, shut up.

    Happy anniversary to your grandparents! That’s a good effort. Mine made it to 40 years last Christmas.

    I’m sorry you won’t be going to the party. You know they’ll all be bored without you.
