Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I love your landscape! Look at those mountains! Your fur kids must be so happy to go hiking there. Can you let them run lose in that area?
LOL, that might give someone a start to look up and see them staring down at them! You guys have to best places to hang out!
Why not Woo them a song, you guys? They might even toss you some of their sandwiches!
Kisses,
Stella
I’d wait until they were right under ya and let out a woo woo woo!!!
Love the snicker. And they are right. When people are walking on trails they are watching their feet, not above their heads.
They love being perched up high, don’t they? I bet some folks are startled, for sure and think “wolves!” A reader over on my Facebook page just recently posted that I should turn my Husky boy Wolf loose into the wild that a wolf shouldn’t be domesticated. I had to clarify that my Wolf was not a wolf.
The reaction from people who notice them must be priceless. I’ll admit, my first thought would probably be wolves. Until I saw QNTE snickering at me..
Ha ha! I’m betting that last part is the very best!
As long as anyone who looks up isn’t startled at the sight of a herd of “wolves” peering at them over the edge of a rocky outcropping! From below, the Herd’s leads might not be visible, could give an unsuspecting hiker quite a start! Though, if Frankie is still wearing his “bear bell”, should be some indication of “friendly critters”.
