As Hu-Dad attempts to capture some photos of Roscoe in the yard, our hero achieves radar lock on the Hu-Dad and goes in for the hug.

Is there any doubt that Roscoe is focused? The eyes have locked into their target and the tail points the way. A Hu-Dad mugging will occur in just a few seconds, so the photo had to be quick.
