The next-to-last phase of our pavilion project started yesterday, so of course the Herd had to conduct fireplace inspection.
We’re so excited because the crew showed up yesterday to work on the next-to-last part of our pavilion projectâthe installation of the fireplace just in time for summer! Once this is complete, the paint crew will apply stain to the pavilion and the fence to protect it against the weather. Roscoe and Typhoon are hard at work on fireplace inspection to identify who left paw prints in the mortar mix. Hope they solve that mystery soon.
On an amusing side note, the crew used a bobcat to haul supplies in, so they laid plywood to protect the grass as best as possible. After they left, Hu-Dad turned on sprinklers to help the grass revive. Roscoe and Typhoon pointed out that the sprinklers were running in the exact spot they, er, sprinkle. Don’t worryâthe falling water didn’t deter them in their effort to produce falling water. They ran into the middle of the sprinklers and took care of business. Hu-Dad watched them and muttered, “Silly dogs.”

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldnât have been much worse.
I have to go with Jeanâs questionsâŠwhoâs paw print was it???????
I think we all know who’s Really in charge of the operation! đ XO
Maybe just a crazy squirrel flying thru!!
Could the paw prints have been left as their stamp of approval? ;-))
LOVE the way Roscoe P and Typhoon inspected the new fireplace. I am glad the sprinklers didn’t deter them though from THEIR sprinkles!!!!
Was the mystery solved of who’s pawprints were in the mortar mix???
