Roscoe had an unsettling encounter yesterday with some evil sticks. Brace yourself for his tale (and Hu-Dad’s laughter).
Our morning walk had been uneventful. We passed a few joggers, a couple of dog walkers and their dogs, and about eleventy-seven bazillion squirrels and rabbits who insisted on seeing how close they could come to us. We had completed our walk, left the greenway, and were walking up the road to our house when the evil sticks attacked. Roscoe yelled for help and did his best to escape their grip, but no matter which way he turned, they continued their pursuit. He begged Hu-Dad to help him, but Hu-dad could hardly contain his laughter.
According to Hu-Dad’s telling of this event, Roscoe wandered near a pile of brush waiting on pickup by the city. His leash snagged a lengthy branch and dragged it along behind him. Noting the evil sticks chasing him, Roscoe did his best to escape. The more Roscoe bucked, the tighter the knot between the leash and the branch.
Roscoe’s recollection, however, is that a tree attacked him in broad daylight in the middle of the street and Hu-Dad did nothing to protect him.
A jury of Roscoe’s peers (i.e., his brothers) have judged the case in canine court and found the Hu-Dad guilty. He has been sentenced to lengthy period of Roscoe sitting in his lap and telling him how terrible things were.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Sometimes you just can’t make up a story that is better or funnier than the truth! This would be on of those!!???
Hilarious! Well, not for poor Roscoe. He’ll likely make sure you serve your complete sentence.
Oh dear POOR Roscoe and that BAD tree branch that chased him! I too would love to SEE and HEAR the video of Hu-Dad laughing(although it’s NOT funny to Roscoe or the rest of the Herd-I guess YOU are GUILTY Hu-Dad!!!
Poor Roscoe!! At least 2 weeks of lap time at least..
How dare you subject sweet Roscoe to such horrors ! Guilty as charged !!! Although I wish there was film so we could judge it properly!!
Seems a fair sentence to me ~ Yeti
