Our tree rat obsessed Roscoe may need to take some stalking lessons from the Frankie Suave Squirrel Sentry.
Roscoe’s squirrel obsession gets the better of him as he races and runs around the yard in attempts to coax the rodents inside the fence. Frankie Suave, however, tries a much calmer, subtle approach. You can almost feel the mind-meld looking at this photo. Let’s just call this the Suave Squirrel Sentry.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Roscoe has the Squirrel hunt perfected. My “little” Bolt has bagged 3 Squirrels and 2 Chipmunks. He’s King of the backyard. Being on a lot of property, mostly wooded, has it’s advantages. May you get your Squirrel, and may they live to talk about it! Being only 40lbs has it’s perks…
My basset hound spent two years every night on the deck lulling the flying squirrels into complacency. Then when one came past her nose…..CHOMP!
Frankie knows slow and steady is the best way to get those tree rats.
I agree Hu-Dad-Frankie Suave’s approach seems to be better although I don’t the tree rat succumbed to his mind control yet! Roscoe will just keep on trying and let’s see if ANY approach works!! LOL
