Everything was secured around the house and then Hu-Dad suggested we do one final part of hurricane prep… and it involved us.
Late Monday afternoon and the deck and pool furniture was secured. Everything the wind could move was put away. Hu-Dad declared us as prepared as we could be for Isaias, but there was one final step in our hurricane prep. Yes, the Hu-Dad issued the final Emergency Procedure Order… Go now or hold it until the storm is over.
Our food rations are also reduced under the “what goes in must come out” theory. Can you believe the horror?
By the time you read this, the storm should be over, the sun should be coming out, and things should be getting back to normal. And that means we should get extra food to make up for those reduced rations.
UPDATE: Tuesday morning, 6 a.m. We are safe and fine. Skies are clear. Minor flooding damage, but no real harm. Thinking of everyone else dealing with Isaias.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
thank goodness you’re all safe and well. XO
So happy to hear that you all faired well+ “weathered the storm”
We had lots of wind ,off+on rain(some heavy, some very light(), also tornado watch but it passed.(Western Mass)
I heard on the weather channel that the last time a hurricane involved the entire East Coast was 50 years ago!!! I remember it,too!
We were having a family picnic in the yard, and suddenly a big wind blew in and my little sister took off!!! My Mom was screaming because she thought that the wind was taking her,but my sister said she felt her hat blowing off her head+ she just ran after it!
Hahaha…it’s funny the things we remember!!
We’re on the outskirts of it in Ohio. Chessie took one look outside and went back to bed.
Glad to learn all are safe and well. Thanks for letting us know.
We have been getting hit hard since 8AM this morning in Delaware. Tornado warnings too. Our dogs have been giving us the LOOKS too about going out although our hound mix Sadie did go out to do her business. Bradley our husky mix is still thinking about it!! My prayers go out to all who are dealing with this storm!!!
You could almost hear the wind when looking at Roscoe’s and Typhoon’s faces.
Grateful for good news!!! May full rations be restored ??❣️
Happy to hear all is well for the Herd and food is back to normal. Ruby got her quick walk today as we wait for heavy rain here in upstate NY.
