Frankie Patrols His Decks

Frankie Suave has always enjoyed the quieter things. At Chez Herd by the Sea, Frankie patrols his decks—two levels of lookout fun.

Welcome to my upper deck

Like many houses on the coast, our home is on stilts to mitigate issues from storm surges, so our living space is several feet above ground level. Our bedrooms are the level above that. We built decks so we have a patio at ground level, a covered deck at the main level, and an open deck at the upper level. Frankie says he loves the decks.

With the constant breezes off the marsh (and ocean beyond that), the air on the deck is comfortable even in the summer. He can watch all of the seabirds and people kayaking in the marsh.

OI so love the tours and Frankie makes it so enjoyable. I agree that a house tour would be lovely! I know the Herd is enjoying the new place to live!! SO many things to investigate!

Frankie SHOULD do a house tour! Those decks sound awesome. Maddox loves to sit on my porch and watch all the people go by – and their dogs – we can see the river walk, and the dog park where all the crazy dogs play (he does not go there). Having visual entertainment is very cool.

Frankie could lead a house tour “Frankie Suave Presents…” ????
Does Hu-Grandma visit? The Herd must miss her.
