Cheesewhiz Leading The Walks

Thirteen years old or not, Cheesewhiz leading the walks is the way things work in The Herd (and a confession where we are).

Cheoah may have recently celebrated her thirteenth birthday, but she is still very much respected by the boys. On our longer walks, she can be tired by the end, but she is always enthusiastic and ready to go at the beginning. And, no matter what, she is leading the way.

Come on, boys, keep up.
Come on, boys, keep up.

By the way, a number of readers picked up on little signs like the lack of snow and, probably a bigger hint, palm trees in the background to suggest we aren’t at home. Nope, we are on a little S-RV (Siberian Recreational Vehicle) adventure. Don’t worry, we will have the Hu-Dad home in time for temperatures hovering near 0 (and that’s Fahrenheit, not Celsius).

Lovely Cheoah is rather outnumbered by the boys, isn’t she?

She’s a natural leader. So many female huskies are and I have one who’s still bossy at 15. (I wondered about the lake and palms in the last photos too.)

Enjoy your walks pretty girl, keep those boys in line. Enjoy your colder weather, if you don’t get enough we can send some cold and snow from upstate NY. Happy time guys.

LOVE you Cheoah-I KNOW you don’t like to be called a senior lady BUT you DO show your brother’s HOW the walk is done! Thirteen or not-you are a QUEEN!
