Our Little Prince may have outdone himself now by figuring out the ultimate Typhoon shortcut (much to the exasperation of the Hu-Dad.
Last week, in a post titled Hurricane Typhoon, we mentioned how His Haughtiness exited the house through the kitchen and then demanded to re-enter the house through the bedroom.
The door to the “Junior” deck is off the kitchen while the door to the “Senior” deck is off the bedroom on the opposite end of the house. The gate that connected the two sides of the yard is at the bottom of Sibe Quentin and is now open around the clock (we used to close it when the Seniors wanted some peace and quiet from the bouncy Juniors). Typhoon has figured out that he can exit the house from the kitchen, walk along the perimeter of the fence, and then re-enter the house in the bedroom.
But, he has also figured out that going from the Junior Deck to the Senior Deck via the yard requires walking all the way to the end of the yard, through the gate, and back up. Cutting through the house is much faster (unless the humans are slow on the door). So, yes, the other day, Typhoon knocked on the bedroom door, received his treat for coming inside, and then ran through the house to the kitchen door and immediately asked to go outside.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Never met a Sibe that wouldn’t think of a clever way to get a treat!
Typhoon is ALWAYS such fun and it’s really nice to read a post where I originally added my thoughts on the Little Prince Typhoon Phooey!!! Good job Typhoon!
The collies did all their shedding already, hopefully they will grow more soon! We have dog shows coming up!
(And he is just too clever! Love that boy!)
Treats and less distance…Awesome!
That made me LOL!
Looks like Typhoon has found a fabulous new game!!!
Typhoon is such a gangster.
We’re so easy to train.
He is one smart boy.
The best Christmas present I ever got was my blower. My son got it for me – it has been a godsend!
They never ceases to AMAZE!!!
I have to say Typhoon-you are NO SLOUCH when it comes to figuring out HOW to get around Hu-Dad’s rules about coming in and out of the house(and thereby getting those awesome treats)!!Again-his haughtiness’s adventures started my day with a laugh!
