As a working breed, we Siberian Huskies love watching others work (is that the meaning) especially as Hu-Dad faced a deadline on his latest writing project.

We reported a few weeks ago that Hu-Dad moved his desk in his study. He likes having that view while he pretends to work works hard. He had a major deadline to meet yesterday (manuscript due to an editor) and made it, so we thought we would highlight some of the key features of his work space.

Oh, yes, sure, you might notice the laptop, the notebook with a hard printed draft, or even the copy of The Chicago Manual of Style within easy reach. Much to Typhoon’s chagrin, there are also four rolls of hot pink vet wrap propped on the window sill. But, personally, we think the best feature of this special desk is the custom foot-warmer and fuzzy stress relievers situated within easy reach.
For whenever Hu-Dad needs a break.

Wings of Doom

A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.

Pets are the best stress relievers. Can’t imagine life without ’em. (I wish my workspace was as uncluttered as yours.)
Yeah…the fuzzie stress management team!! …our Saving Grace????…mine will stay by my feet waiting so patiently for hours while I work on my computer…but when it’s “quitting time” she stands by my side and looks at the computer like it is PREY!! She looks at me(with her muzzle right next to the computer screen) and I swear she’s ready to”kill it!”
She makes sure we have FREE TIME,too!!! ????
What manner of interesting rollerball mouse does Hu-Dad use? What a great work area though. Needs a bird feeder outside. 🙂
That funky looking mouse is called an Evoluent Vertical Mouse (yes, that is an Amazon Affiliate Link). Anyone who suffers from wrist pain should consider it. A normal mouse makes you hold your hand in a somewhat unnatural form that can create issues for long-term mouse users. A vertical mouse keeps the hand in a more natural position. Hu-dad suffered from a lot of pain before making that switch.
As for bird feeders, we call them bear feeders here for an obvious reason. No worries, we get a plethora of birds including humming birds and some big predators like owls, hawks and eagles without a feeder.

Hu-Dad-Those gorgeous sweeties ARE the best stress relievers and foot warmers(although we are having 90 degree weather here-lol). LOVE that pink wrap waiting for Typhoon Phooey too. BUT glad you got your work done(maybe?)!!!
