Ah, the start of another week and some dogs are singing the Monday blues, including our oldest and youngest members of The Herd.
Miss Kiska has had a good week with energy to join the younger dogs on many of their walks. We gladly walk at her pace and as far as she wants to go when she decides to join us.
Lots of people have asked, so Miss Kiska’s health continues to be good, though there is no question that her body is aging. Nothing in particular wrong and no identified health issues other than classic senioritis – weak muscles and joints.
She has been living at Chez Herd since August of 2006 – approaching 12 years – and could have been anywhere from 2 to 4 years old when she arrived. She is our proud matriarch and we let her set her own pace – as much walking or napping as she wants on any given day.
On the other end of the spectrum is the picture of youth – Boom Boom. And, yes, he has had a great week as well, showing the same signs of sleepiness.
