Starting out the day with a nice blanket of snow can cause some dogs to lose their minds, so we plead the snow insanity defense for today’s post.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach in the S-RV, but were ready to return to our normal helping of winter weather. Ok, we dogs were ready. So when Mother Nature obliged us with a fresh few inches of snow Tuesday morning, we celebrated as only Siberian can celebrate.
Landon, who is well known for his bouncing ways around the yard, was particularly delighted and celebrated throughout the morning. His older brother, who tries so hard to model good behavior to his younger brothers, had an amused reaction.
Way Back Wednesday
As the dogs went outside yesterday morning, only one dog seemed displeased with the cold and snow – Miss Kiska. She has decided, being of advanced age, that she prefers sunshine and warmth. Of course, she might also be having flashbacks to a hike early in her time at Chez Herd where the weather made a quite unpleasant turn. Hu-Dad stills thinks this post has the most unflattering photograph of Kiska ever, so checking it out is worth that alone.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I’m with Kiska on getting stuck in the rain. It is your fault.
But the snow….let it come. I’m like Typhoon and Landon in that regard, forever young….even if I hurt like Ms Kiska lol
They do hate to get wet, instinctively knowing they’re sponges in water. Ugh!
Landon sweetheart you just totally love life!! And poor Kiska… all drenched and adorable ????
