Because our Super Nephew was coming to visit yesterday, Hu-Dad opted to get some early pictures of us, so pardon our morning face.
Typically, Hu-Dad takes our photographs in the afternoon or early evening, primarily because he works in his study from early morning until mid-afternoon. We normally get up around 6 every morning (including those mornings Hu-Dad thinks he might sleep late, but we disagree) and head outside. Breakfast is served “on the veranda” (aka, our covered porch) around 7. Hu-Dad decided to head out into the yard for some early morning pictures, but none of us left the porch. After all, we have a schedule, too!
He should be thankful he captured the pictures we are showing. After all, look between Landon’s ears above and you will notice Cheoah napping in her crate. It’s exhausting so early in the morning.
Thoughts on the new web design
Thank you to everyone for the feedback on the changes to our website. Most of the comments were quite positive (we are happy you are happy!), and we are taking seriously the suggestions for improvement. Please drop us a note via our contact page or in the comments below of any thoughts you have.
Two things we have heard loud and clear:
First, the subscribe bar across the top of the screen was blocking the view, particularly on mobile devices. That was fixed yesterday and you should no longer have such an obstruction.
Secondly, the new email service is not delivering as well as it should. We are working on that with the hope of improving their deliverability, but are also preparing to move to another provider. Unfortunately, our old approach is being discontinued, so we were having to find a replacement solution anyway. Just wanted our subscribers to know we hear you and are working on making it better. Please be patient for a couple of days and we will get it fixed.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
I love their morning faces and often give the same looks to my Hu-Mom. Now she knows it is nothing personal, just a Sibe thing.
Mom says that she loves your new website. The banner showing the Herd is beautiful and she likes the great larger photos. Don’t tell her I said this, but it might be because she is older (75 in human years, can’t even imagine that in our years). Also the postings are now going directly to her inbox and not the spam file.
We are very happy with the new website and it is fine on our computer and iPad. Thanks for making us smile early each day.
Have a great weekend.
Rebel
