When you get a new RV, the first trip you plan is a shakedown weekend – an opportunity to learn all of the gadgets and test that everything works.
Hu-Dad had planned the trip for late September thinking it would be nice and cool. WRONG. We almost hit 90 in the campground, so we decided to snoozervise his work from the air-conditioned comfort of our wall of crates. Notice the bowls of icy cold water just so we wouldn’t overheat. We are a helpful crew, aren’t we?
After testing the inside, we made sure the outside worked well for us. The sun went down, the evening got a little bit cooler, and we settled down to snoozervise the Hu-Dad while he worked some more.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Mom sez: WoW, looks like everyone has settled into the new “home away from home” without too much upset. No mistaking it for someone else’s motorhome, either, with that colour. Very “out-standing”!
This looks like a great camping site. What campground is it? We are always looking for good campgrounds for our 30 foot RV.
Big Ridge State Park in Tennessee just north of Knoxville on Norris Lake.
Hopefully winter won’t come too early and you’ll have more road trips ahead this year.
We are the opposite of most people. We don’t camp in the summer (too hot) and LOVE camping in the winter. Once we get off our mountaintop, winters in this area are quite mild.
You all are the best snoozervisors ever!!!!
