We like to keep our Hu-Dad guessing, but the weather this week had provided him the biggest challenge in living with a Herd of Siberian Huskies.
As you notice, Typhoon’s fur continues to grow back quite slowly. On the bright side, he continues to eat and gain weight. We have added a melatonin supplement so that he might actually have a warm belly this winter. The boy does like to challenge the Hu-Dad.
But, no, that is not the greatest challenge. With another day of rainy, dreary weather, the challenge was much, much bigger:

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
Vox feels you Typhoon! He had surgery from a dog attack last JANUARY and his hair still hasn’t grown in yet. We learned that when some dogs are shaved, especially a Husky, they can get a condition known as alopecia or alopecia x. I read that melatonin can work but I think Hu-Dad is just trying to make you sleepy. We’re using (our vet’s recommendation) a product called Essential 6 and it seems to be working. Hu-Dad claims that Typhoon being a little more sleepy would just be a side effect. 🙂

*haha* Yes, those eyes definitely say “You know what happens when I’m bored, Hu-Dad!” Find a chew bone… quick!!!! 🙂 So glad Typhoon is well on his way.
