Chief of Security Kiska’s Quiet Evening

Our Chief of Security, Miss Kiska, is ever vigilant for any threat approaching Chez Herd. Fortunately, last night was a quiet evening where the threats wisely remained well away from our house.

But I am watching, just in case.

With things so quiet, Hu-Dad broke out a brush and worked on her coat. That wooly coat is certainly beautiful to look at, but it is quite different from everyone else’s. It is quite prone to tangles and knots, so grooming Miss Kiska tends to be done in stages. She adores the attention, feeling quite special with the attention. But, at the first battle with a tangle, she is done.

So in case you ever wonder why it always looks like she is not quite done with grooming, it is because she put her paw down and said no more.

Sorry, Hu-Dad, you hit a tangle so I am out of here.

She looks so soft, perfect for a cuddle!

A little tear for the Queen…then chuckles seeing the Herd trying to get the squeak. My 2 will remove any squeaker they can. Then as if to annoy the humans, they run around squeaking the found squeaker. Never a dull moment…

To this day I think Miss Kiska is still the only long hair I have ever seen. I’ve seen a few pure white’s including Q-Tip, I’ve seen the tricolors, but only Miss Kiska representing the long hair crew!

Awesome video! Sure miss seeing the Queen. But Miss Kisha is a wonderful Chief! Mya hates getting brushed and sees it as torture. It requires a muzzle and two people.
