Frankie Suave is a very easy going dog about most things, but sincerely believes water should not fall from the sky, so he played his rain refusal card.
The humans went into town for pizza and beer, so everyone was eager to go outside as soon as the humans returned. Frankie was leading the charge out the door.
The second he stepped on the deck, Frankie knew that things were not right. He went to his observation point and stared at the water falling on our field. The Hu-Dad might be pleased with rain, but Frankie was not.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
My Sparkie girl won’t leave the porch when it’s raining either. As we do not have a fenced yarn I am required to don a raincoat/umbrella in order to get her to leave the porch for Potty Duty. sigh.
Leena has split personalities.
One is “omg omg omg its raining I love this, I wanna stand here in the raid”
The other is “WTF is this crap, you want me to go out in THAT to use the bathroom…wheres my umbrella you useless butler.”
Mom sez: Ebby is the same way. She will stand under the covered part of the deck practically with her legs crossed, if it’s raining — very unlike her “Auntie Ayla”, who would go out and stand in the middle of the yard in a downpour, looking up to see who’d “turned the tap on”!
Don’t know if this has come up in past posts, but wondered if you have cams set up to check for naughties when you’re gone.
We nap in our crates when the humans are gone.
Our Maggie is the same way. We open the back door, she hears, smells and sees rain…nope…not going out this way! She then runs to front door because you never know…it may only be raining out back! ????????????????♥️
I understand Frankie. Izzy isn’t too sure about that sprinkler in the sky either!!
