Bandana And Lost Fur Day

Our title leaves you wondering exactly what lost fur and a bandana have in common. Typhoon woke up wondering the exact same thing.

Styling bandana, Typhoon.

Styling bandana, Typhoon.

Typhoon’s morning started off with the usual trip out to the yard of Sibe Quentin, but then the day took a nasty turn. First, his breakfast was never served which meant he didn’t get to spend the usual time complaining that he had no intention of eating THAT (which is different virtually every meal to attempt to meet his picky palate). Instead of breakfast, he traveled – alone – to the vet where he took a really long nap. When he woke up, he had shiny clean teeth and a bandana wrapped around his neck.

But that’s not all!

You! Are you laughing at me?

You! Are you laughing at me?

If you look carefully at the two pictures above, note that much of his excess furs have been removed. Yes, that’s right, Hu-Dad arranged to have him brushed while napping for his teeth cleaning. Word from the vet’s office was that he tried, feebly, to complain, but was just too sleepy.

I am not talking to the Hu-Dad for a long time.

Yay Typhoon!! You just may have inspired our Teton half pack to go in for their own spa day!! You look so sharp with your styled hair and shiney teeth and yes also with your bandana!
All three of us scream as loud as husky possible when our humom brings out the brush. We don’t even wait for her to select one of us to begin the awful torture on, we just start wailing!!! Then we run and don’t stop until the threat subsides. If she is tired or hasn’t had her coffee yet, it’s a win for us. But if her coffee has hair in it, it is game on and she usually wins! And yes Typhoon, we also dish out the silent treatment afterwards of course.
But only until dinner time, then the sounds of a pot on the stove and clanking of the spoon on the pot bring us back to our senses and we gather for a tasty meal and hugs and kisses.
Maybe if it is called spa day or involves a nap with teeth cleaning we would actually get a good brush out without fraying humoms nerves!! Lookin good Typhoon!

That’s hilarious, but kinda sad that he has to be anesthetized to be groomed without going berserk. 😉 Combining with the dental was a great idea. Ever thought of saving fur for spinning? (I recently found a woman in my area who does it and knits or weaves into whatever you want. I recently took eight years of fur to her for just that.)

Oh Typhoon that’s dirty business, but look how handsome you are. Your coat looks so sleek and shiny. You must feel better without all that excess fur clumped up. Hugs and kisses to the herd.
