Chez Herd’s Buddy System

Like in any other large group, certain friends are best friends. Here is a snapshot of yesterday showing off Chez Herd’s buddy system.

Our promised snow failed to materialize (again), so everyone spent the day traipsing in and out of the house. The revolving door, however, usually found the same buddies together throughout the day.

The most amusing pair, of course, includes newbie Landon and his big brother, Frankie. Frankie has long loved his nap under the Tree of Life and Landon can be found just a few feet away. But, since Landon is not as interested in a nap, Boom Boom spends the time playing with fallen branches.

I am not keeping you awake, am I, Big Bro?

P.S. – We wish everyone a happy and safe New Year!

Mom ‘n Ebby say: It’s so great to see that “everybody has somebody somewhere” applies so well to the Herd the way it does. At least no one is “odd man out”. Wishing a wonderful, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, hu-Dad, and to each one of the Thundering Herd. Love and Husky Hugz to all, from us here in Dawson Creek BC Canada.

Happy New Year to you and yours,
Thank you for allowing us a peek into your
    Incredible pack.

I have a question… why do you think Boom Boom has bonded so much with Frankie? ( other than the obvious chick magnet thing)
And were you surprised about this onding choice?

We expected Landon and Typhoon to be the best of friends since they are so close in age and both pranksters, but Landon adores his older brother Frankie. Hu-Dad learned long ago not to try to predict pack dynamics.

Best not to question – for all you know, Frankie is keeping an invisible paw and making sure Landon doesn’t go too crazy nuts! 🙂

Sweet Cheoah – she will never be one of the seniors, will she, even as she gets older. Forever Young!
