In a large family, everyone has a role in the household chores. Let’s follow Frankie as he assists Hu-Dad on a Sunday afternoon project.
The Hu-Dad worked last week to move some internet cabling at Chez Herd. With the project almost complete, he realized he needed a small table in a closet for some equipment. He purchased one of those “some assembly required” tables and spread out in the great room floor. Frankie offered to assist.
Every other pup became bored with the project quickly, but Frankie enjoyed helping. He served primarily as a stress reliever. You know, “Hey, Hu-Dad, scratch my ears and you will feel better.”
As Hu-Dad tightened the last bolt, Frankie joined in the celebration. Of course, it looks like Hu-Dad may have already started a celebratory drink.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Mom sez: After all your hard work assisting the hu-Dad, I don’t recall seeing anything to drink for you in that picture, Frankie — what’s with this? Not fair at all!
Good boy, Frankie! How can they possibly do anything without our insistence!
Monty, Harlow and Ramble
No doubt about it Frankie… Hudad could not have done it without you!!
A bit of lubricant helps Hu-Dad in the assembly operation!
