Sweet Kiska and Mischief

We had a reader ask if Sweet Kiska ever gets into mischief and thought we would just answer the question as a blog post for everyone.

That's not quite the complete reason, is it, Hu-Dad?

That’s not quite the complete reason, is it, Hu-Dad?

Ok, fair enough. The reader sent the question to us via our contact page. Normally, we try to respond to any message on our contact page quickly and Hu-Dad tried to reply, but our system ate their email address. Well, maybe Typhoon did, but we blame the system because we had just done a software upgrade and it was working before that. Regardless, Hu-Dad had no way of replying, so a blog post seemed to be the perfect way to answer!

Good recovery, Hu-Dad.

Good recovery, Hu-Dad.

But to the question, no, Kiska rarely gets into mischief. As Security Chief, she yells at anyone and anything that gets too close to us, but that is just part of her job. And she can really dig her claw in to any human not paying her enough attention (or stops scratching for half a second), but that isn’t mischief.

I am so well behaved.

I am so well behaved!

Of course, as anyone with Siberian Huskies knows, Hu-Dad has just guaranteed that Kiska is about to find the biggest mischief possible to prove him wrong . . . but that will be a whole new blog post.

I think she is perfect and has the halo to match. Thank you.

She is so pretty, and the fluffy coat enhances her looks. But, I wa s wondering, would her fluffiness be considered a “defect” like a corgi’s fluffy coat would?

Yes, that wooly coat look in a Siberian is a “defect” from the breed standard. But tell her that – we think she is perfect!

That wooly coat also gives her much grief in icy weather as she is the only member of The Herd who can get those pesky ice balls that cling to fur. No fun!

Aw Kiska sweetie you are such a good girl. As security chief I’m sure you have no time for such silly things as mischief when there are squirrels and other intruders to attend to. ❤️
