Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd 2016 – Typhoon

Today’s nomination for Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd is Typhoon, both the littlest and youngest member of The Herd.

Scarlett and Typhoon

Scarlett and Typhoon

Hello, I’m Scarlett, 10 years old, and I am a volunteer in the Youth for SARGE’S group. I am a huge animal lover and want to help all the animals I can. I am participating in the Third Annual Valentine’s Hearts for the Herd, which will benefit all the animals at SARGE’S. I met the entire herd, but fell in love with Typhoon.

He is the youngest member of the herd at 4 years old. Typhoon joined the herd on January 5, 2013. He is very unique, because he has two different colored eyes. One is brown and one is an icy blue.

Typhoon is afraid of heights so his human had to carry him out of the car to meet me. Once out of the car, Typhoon was very energetic. He wants to be moving or running all the time. His name fits him very well. Typhoon is a big talker. He talks inside, outside, in the car, at the vet’s, and even during walks. Typhoon also loves to stash envelopes in his crate. He does not destroy them, just keeps them there.

Typhoon would enjoy your Valentine’s card immensely to say the least. To support my project and SARGE’S please mail a Valentine’s card to Typhoon. You may also enclose a contribution to SARGE’S by check or money order in any amount. Typhoon will be very happy and run around in circles!

Be sure to get your cards in before Valentine’s Day so a winner can be announced!

Please send as follows:

Hu-Dad? Why is our snow getting thin?

Wow, that was great.

Scarlett did an awesome and we can guarantee that Typhoon will run around in circles if he wins. He has a serious need for speed!

But we want to take a moment to remind you of why we do this every year. We are all fortunate to have found our way through homelessness to great rescues who guided us to our forever homes. Sarge’s does that several times a day. One of the cats in their care right now is:

Precious

Precious

Precious is a lovely young gray Tabby female, very petite, and also very sweet. She is friendly to all, and appreciates petting, especially ear scritchies.

If you are interested in Precious or any of their dogs and cats, please visit Sarge’s website or call them (828) 246-9050 for more information.

We will feature our cousins, Tartok and Ruby, in the next two posts and our contest will be off and running. Get your Valentine’s ready!

It’s so hard to choose. Typhoon is a true brother from another mother to Koda. Hazel is leaning towards Kisha as Hazel is newly adopted and likes the safety idea that Kisha has as the Herd Patrol Officer. Misha my baby at the bridge always sends me her thoughts of royalty and we all know who the Queen is right Miss Natasha. Since we still have a few days, we will make a decision and get our card and donation in. :-).

Oh gosh, Scarlett did a great job! While all the Herd are great, I didn’t have Typhoon in mind before… but that made it mighty tempting to send Typhoon a Valentine’s, to help fulfil his need for speed! Aw man, how will I choose…
