During our spring-weather like walk in the park Sunday, Kiska performed some wall walking memories that brought to mind one of the most colorful characters in Herd History – Rusty the Rooster.
Long-time readers already know instantly who we are going to mention. We were blessed with one of the most memorable members of The Herd – Rusty the Rooster. His nickname was simply based on his red fur and enthusiastic crowing. And that enthusiasm bubbled over to every activity he ever tackled – including walks. No walk was ever simple with The Rooster – but it was always entertaining.
And while this video does not show off his wall walking skills, it does show off what a unique personality the Rooster had.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Rusty was One of a Kind – but I think he keeps a paw in where he can – just to remind you what he could do – and how much he loved you! I miss him, even thought he was not here for very long, his personality was huge.
Thank you for reminding us that a dog can be one of a kind, but each one has their own beautiful personality, sometimes rotten (??) personalities! How boring life would be is they were all just the same!
A beautiful and safe, happy glorious Christmas and New Years to you and your family!!
Mom sez: Yes, I still miss Rusty as a part of the Herd. He was so unique, and a joy to watch and read about in all your posts!
We ALL miss Rusty.
Awww thank you for the beautiful memory walk❤️
Aww. Gone but never forgotten.
