Hazards of Dog Photography

As our official photographer, Hu-Dad is well aware of the hazards of dog photography. Periodically, we like to remind him of the dangers.

The chase is on.

The chase is on!

Hu-Dad sat on the steps of the deck and took some photos of us around the yard. When the inevitable game of chase broke out, the camera was taking pictures in a rapid burst.

The chaser and the chasee have switched!

After a couple of loops around the yard, Hu-Dad was really thrilled with the head on shots and kept the camera clicking away.

The funny thing about looking through the view finder is that you can lose track of how far your lens is zoomed. Or, more importantly, is no longer zoomed.

I can fit - watch.

At the opening of this story, we mentioned that Hu-Dad was sitting on the steps leading up to our deck. Those steps are just wide enough for a person to sit there and a dog to get by. Just. Unfortunately, it is not wide enough for a sitting human and TWO dogs.

Not a passing zone - hazards of dog photography

Which means this is not a passing zone.

The remainder of the pictures are just extreme close-ups of dog fur.

Sounds like Hu-dad might need to widen the stairs to the deck. I think the photos turned out well. It’s hard to photograph moving targets; especially fast furry targets!

Mom, Ice ‘n Ebby all want to know what’s wrong with extreme close-ups of “Siber Fur”?

LOL! That’s too funny! At least Hu-Dad was sitting down and didn’t end up landing on the ground! I’ve had some close calls with almost being knocked over by zooming pups! 😀
