Big Dog Invasion

As we have mentioned many times, we live next door to a thousand acre ranch. They are terrific neighbors and we love seeing the big dogs (horses and cattle), but sometimes we have a big dog invasion.

Eyeing hu-dad suspiciously

Eyeing Hu-Dad suspiciously as he tries to convince them to go back through a gate.

Somehow, someway, we had a few head of cattle get through the fence and over to visit us. Maybe that old saying about the grass is greener on the other side of the fence might actually be true. They were certainly enjoying munching on our grass.

talking with your mouth full is rude

Hasn’t anyone told you that talking with your mouth full is rude?

We tried several times to talk with them, but they just didn’t understand. We say “woo” and they say “moo,” so it just didn’t make any sense at all.

please let me play

Oh, please let me go play, Hu-Dad. Though you still can’t touch me with a brush.

Hu-Dad did mutter something about we were the wrong type of working breed. What exactly is a Border Collie?

Natasha's first outdoor walk

Picture texted to Hu-Dad Thursday morning showing Natasha’s first outdoor walk!

Natasha update – During the course of the day yesterday, pain medications were reduced by half. During visits, Natasha sat up, willingly went out for breaks, had great color, temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and other vitals. Our only concern right now is making sure that the incision has healed completely because we are having some minor leakage. Once that is under control and everything else looks promising, she will be coming home to continue recuperating.

We are keeping paws crossed for the Queen!

We run into those pesky cattle from time to time and yes, they don’t communicate very well!
