Sunday was just a day at the park – literally. Because of the heavy rains on Saturday, we assumed the mountain trails would be very muddy and slippery, so we went into Asheville and walked at Carrier Park. It was a little warm down in Asheville for our taste (84ºF (29ºC) versus the high at our house of 71ºF (22ºC)), so we had to take a break during our walk and spread out under a big shade tree by the river. It made for a great place to people watch while we rested and drink a lot of water.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Thanks for sharing this with us 🙂
My dogs also sheds a loooot!
My Cody blew his coat like that. One good brushing and it was three bags full! It spun beautifully and there was still enough in the yard to mound up along the fences. If I was really ambitious, I would wash Cody, then use the shed rinse that really worked, comb him out while still wet and slickery, and tada! I had a dog that people would say has Cody lost weight???

Yay happy to have you guys back in my email. We are finally done coat blowing here.
Mom sez: Looks like the only ones “doing anything” were Tash being regal, and Kiska on security, and looking like she was “falling apart”. In that heat, and that coat of hers, no wonder! Everyone else was just having a “leisure” day. Nice green grass, people-watching — and I’m betting there were as many people watching The Herd as the Herd was watching people! Or are most people in the area familiar enough with seeing the Herd that they don’t pay much attention to them anymore?
