Self-Cleaning Sibe

After yesterday’s post showing a muddy Cheoah, many of you asked about her bath. We should explain. We are self-cleaning Sibes. Hu-dad says it is an advantage of us as a breed that we like to clean ourselves.

self cleaned
Self cleaned and looking good.

Yes, that is right. No bath was involved. Cheoah cleaned herself up. All of this fur has to be maintained somehow.

can you tell
Notice the ears from yesterday.
own ears
Yes, I even do my own ears. Now, excuse me, but it is nap time.

Besides the muddy pawprints, where did the dirt go? I’m sure there is a towel or blanket somewhere that could use a wash. Because I can’t figure out how her nose got clean too. At least that’s what happens with my sibe.

It IS amazing how almost like a cat they can clean up their muddy coats. Of course as The OP Pack mentioned in 2014 it’s too bad they cannot clean up the muddy pawprints on the carpets and floors!!!

This is so funny. I always call Dexter part cat as well because of his cleaning. Especially compared to my other one, a German Shepherd. Dexter has not had a bath in a year…..our GSD, he could go for a weekly one.

I’m surprised that she doesn’t have underlings to do her ears for her!

The self-cleaning part is all well and good, momma says, but she agrees with the OP Pack Mom…when are we going to learn about mopping up and vacuuming?

Yep Storm was a self cleaning Sibe too. I was always amazed at how effective she was. 🙂

Mom says this is all great and wonderful but can’t help wondering why we never learned how to clean up the muddy pawprints on the carpets and floors.

I love that about sibes! I always think they be half cat. Not just with cleaning but so many other traits!!!
