Finding Sunny Sleeping Spots

Tuesday, we had a spring snow storm that we posted about yesterday. Wednesday, the sun was out and the challenge was finding sunny sleeping spots.

sunny and cold

Our morning dawned bright, sunny and cold at 9ÂșF (-13ÂșC).

happy skiers

The skiers next door at Cataloochee Ski Area were certainly happy.

sunning spot

Cheoah expressed her disappointment, however, that one of her favorite sunning spots was still snow covered.

melting snow

After several hours of sunshine, the snow was melting fast despite a high of only 32ÂșF (0ÂșC).

claimed first spot

Typhoon claimed the first open spot.

much better

Ahhhhhh – this is much better.

easy to find

Didn’t take long until sunning spots were easy to find.

Lovely photos. Two of my dogs prefer to lie in the shade, but Faolan seeks out the sunny spots.

Really?? Crazy huskies! Mine LOVE laying in the snow! And would greatly prefer a snow bed rather then a grassy sunny one!
