Sure, our morning came early and the humans were stumbling around in the dark getting ready for the day. Even Typhoon tried to get extra shut-eye time before heading outside yesterday morning.
But there is a great advantage of Daylight Savings Time – we can walk in the evening without the humans needing flashlights.
We are also in a quieter stretch of the season. Our neighbor, Cataloochee Ski, has entered their late season schedule with no night skiing. So, after dinner, the roads are quiet.

Cataloochee Ski still has a few great weeks of skiing, but day time only, so the slopes are empty during our walk.
And the horses of Cataloochee Ranch are still at their winter home, so the pastures are empty.
So we had some extra daylight. The roads were quiet. The pastures were empty. What a peaceful walk.

We have a feeling that your ski resort has more snow than ours. Not that we’ve ventured onto the alpine slopes this year, but the nordic track has melted into puddles, and based on the lack of snow in the backyard, it looks like it is time to put away the skis and break out the bikes. And the after-work walkies.
As usual, I love your posts. Thank you so much for sharing.
