Snow Week – Day 6 – Icicle

With another fresh 3 inches of snow overnight, even the dogs are ready for some sunshine. We opened the door this morning to blowing wind and snow – Kiska looked at the hu-dad and walked back into her crate. The hu-dad could only nod and agree.

Fortunately, the weather changed to a sunny, but cool day. The sun melted the snow and the temperatures did their best to freeze everything back. The result? Icicles.

Of course, Typhoon turned them into a collector’s item.

Does someone look proud with his toy of the day?

Mom sez: I absolutely LOVE the two photos of Typhoon with the icicle. They are priceless. Would like to see his reaction when the icicle “disappears” on him.

Ice has begun to come in the house with a peak of snow on his “beak”, too, which means he’s been unearthing (or should that be “unsnowing”?) his buried treasures in the back yard.

It is always great to see q-tips snow nose and those beautiful blue eyes. There is no melting here in Michigan until mid week. For the first couple of days it will be in the twenties then after that it will be a few days of thirties and fourties. I did see my first robin of the season which means spring is coming soon yay. We have had a hard winter this year and we are all looking forward to spring. Bruce loves the snow, but when it is warm out his dad or I stay out with him and he loves being outdoors more than he loves snow. Have a great time in the snow. Hugs and kisses to the herd.

You know, it’s so hard to envision all that snow. We are having temps in the low 80’s (84 today!), I’m wearing shorts, flowers and weeds are booming, and I saw my first rattlesnake of the year last week. It is kind of surreal!
