In all of the excitement of our beach vacation, we totally forgot to mention that hu-dad got a brand new camera for Christmas – Canon EOS 70D. We have demanded more pictures of us (why take pictures of anything else?) and we should start with some beach photography. (Note – As with all of our pictures on the website, you can click on the picture to see an enlarged version).
Yes, we made it back home Saturday night. We love the beach, but there is something great about getting home and being able to romp in your own yard. How great is it? We will let Kiska answer for us.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
Seems like everyone got new cameras for Christmas! We expect TONS of photos of the Herd!
-Dr. Liz, who is still trying to understand aperture and ISO settings…
You might make a photographer out of the hu-dad yet!
Nice photos. Gotta smile when we see Kiska’s smile!
Beautiful Kiska – that is a fabulous picture of her.
“There is NO Place Like HOME” For Dogs or People <3
Mom sez: Nice as it is to be at the beach, it must be confining when the Herd has to be “under restraints” for a good part of the time, not able to “run wild, run free” when camping. By the look on Kiska’s face in the last photo, I’d say the Herd feels the same way. That is a look of SUCH joy on Kiska’s face! (BTW, when we’re mentioning favourites, Frankie is mine!)
Great photos- my favourite one is definitely Cheoah, so adorable. Have fun with your new camera.
