Rain Delay

tall weeds

I am scared to go out in the really tall weeds.

tall

Seriously, hu-dad, this grass is getting ridiculously tall.

see

Do you really not want to be able to see what I am up to?

With all of the bad weather the last couple of weeks, grass mowing Sibe Quentin has been subject to a rain delay. Sunday was finally the perfect, sunny day, so we insisted that he harvest – er, mow.

walk

Look, everyone, we can actually walk without being tickled.

orange flag

I am so glad the hu-dad did not carry out his threat to tie an orange flag to my tail so he could monitor me.

Ayla sez: Me ‘n Ice would give anything to have grass that high to lie down in, to try and find some cool under our trees in the back yard. We’ve still had no rain, and already the little bit of grass that started to grow from when the snow melted has turned brown and crispy.

you need a mini donkey. would eat grass and weeds and such and keep the fur kids entertained hahahah – we have a small arabian cross horse, who is trustworthy enough to turn loose, he stays right around my sis’ house and mine, eats all the grass, no mowing at all for 3 years, just a bit of weed-eating. And her 14 mini goats keep her upper field clean of weeds (and falling leaves, they FIGHT over falling leaves). Oh, and the guinea hens eat their weight in ticks each week, and kill small snakes. Have not seen a snake near the house in years. hahahah turn you into a farmer in no time 🙂

Typhoon is all legs, isn’t he?

The better to spring with…. boing boing boing… I am sure.

And yay! I see you have Typhoon’s biography done. Lovely!!!

I still think he steals the show too much from Frankie. I miss Frankie! 🙂

Personally, I’d have really enjoyed seeing a certain your Sibe with an orange flag on his tail!

It’s amazing to me how fast my grass and weeds grow after ANY rain! I can lose Max in it practically! Humm…orange flag eh???
DO NOT even think about it Ma!!!

The grass around our apartment complex was getting really tall since the rain kept the mower men from coming. I didn’t even have to squat to potty!

We have a similar problem here, except in our case the lawn mower has died! RIP lawn mower!
