As we have been mentioning in our blog posts, Saturday was the day we helped Downtown Waynesville toy store Fun Things Etc. celebrate their closing. We hung out in front of the store, greeted fans and tourists, showed off our dog sledding gear, and, most importantly, raised some money for Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation.

Cheoah used her “singing” skills to entertain the crowds and Frankie pulled out all of the cute looks in his repertoire.

Queen Natasha found a park bench right in front of the store and simultaneously showed off her dog sled harness and her Queenliness.

Q-Tip specialized in cracker removal from kids and scored a sock monkey (honest, it was offered to him. He did not steal it).

Our main goal, of course, was raising money for Sarge’s and this box was full by the end of our time.
P.S. – In case you were wondering, Kiska and Rusty took the day off. Kiska has always been skittish around strangers, so this is not the type of event she enjoys. And Rusty took advantage of his senior citizen status and took a personal day. Hey, everyone gets a vacation day every now and then.

Ordinary Goodness
February 26, 2025
An airplane crash. The plane came to rest upside down. The passengers hung from their seatbelts. And then came the ordinary goodness.
Best of luck to the fund raising.
Love,
Homer
It’s great when everydog can display a special talent.
A personal day? Pfft! We know the truth! The Hu-Dad was afraid of what Rusty would do! 😉
I would like to take a personal day… away from Teddy. ::sigh::
It sounds like it was a hug success!
Sam
Oh you Sibes, you are such a bunch of do-gooders! I am very proud of you in raising this money for the Shelter and I hope you had a good time doing it.

Stella
