Full Speed Ahead

Rusty, Frankie, Cheoah

We are still testing the new Sibe Quentin, but thought you would enjoy some pictures of the fun. Here, Rusty, Frankie, and Cheoah have a 3-way tag game going.

RUsty

Rusty had a blast running, but soon enough declared “old man” rules and said he just wanted to sniff things out.

Brakes

Cheoah just looked around for a new tagging partner and raced down her buddy, Frankie.

Turning

Frankie was quick to respond to the challenge and turned to follow Cheesewhiz.

Races

And they were off to the races.

Blur

And we mean really off to the races.

Tag

Frankie says this qualifies as “Tag, your it!”

Ok, if you are squeamish, do not go any further.  Stop right here.  Consider yourself warned.

In the set of pictures we did not get, Q-Tip and Kiska were in a similar race and tag match.  Unfortunately, Kiska’s dew claw and Qannik’s body collided at some point.  The result . . .

Ouch

Ouch. That dew claw is not supposed to be facing that direction.

We warned you, right?  Anyway, Kiska was off to the vet for a little repair work and is as good as new.  And, yes, for those who read last week’s blog post, Kiska received lots and lots of peanut butter during her treatment.

Kiska

More peanut butter!

Our second Greyhound broke his dew claw so often that we had a standard protocol for just dealing with it ourselves. That dog could break a dewclaw just walking past the carpet funny. I’m glad that Kiska got her peanut butter fix in the end, though!

I hope Kiska’s claw is doing better now.

Steve must have gotten the old man memo a long time ago because all he ever wants to do is sniff stuff out. Boring!

It’s nice to see Rusty running and playing … even if it’s not for very long. And we’re sending our love to Kiska. We hope she heals up in no time, poor girl.

Don’t worry Kiska. Royale has very curly dewclaws and she too has broken them (most often when playing exuberant games of fetch). She keeps telling mom to keep them short. Mom still needs more reminding!

The things we do for our pups. You are one of the best hu parents ever. Finally sibe quentin is complete and the huskies have some runnin actions. I bet it cost lots of green paper. The things we do to make our pups happy. Good peeps! Sorry kiska, but at least you got the peanut butter!
