Yes, you guessed it. These signs exist because people find a hill in the snow and then sled, tube, or ski – and hurt themselves. Amazingly, they then sue the landowner. Sigh. Is it really so hard to just take responsibility for your own actions?

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?
October 29, 2024
Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.
It is the ones sledding or tubing NOW that you should most worry about! hahahaha. But the WDA agrees that maybe the emphasis should be changed to responsibilit-ME!
I pity the poor Sibes and other northern breeds living in North TX right now! And yes, there are Sibes down here. I see them around sometimes.
91 deg. here in North TX as of 10:15 PM – yes, PM – per National Weather website. Don’t think we’ll be sledding or tubing in the near future.
People are stupid! As Tubey would say.
We predict exactly 5 1/2 months to Siberian sledding and tubiing in TN.
“No Sledding or Tubing” — REALLY??? Not even with we SiberKidz pulling the sleds or tubes? How RUDE!
Personal responsibility is hard to find these days.
Nora
People are crazy. That’s why I’m glad to be a Siberian.
Steve
Well, bipeds, not being as smart as Siberian Huskies …
You know.
Play bows,

Apparently. We have the same issue here, except when people get hurt on Forest Service land, we break out the Search and Rescue people to save them from themselves. *just saying*

We’re dreaming about sledding or tubing right now while we’re melting like snowmen!
But some snow would be nice.
