Mud Versus Snow

Snowy road

What our road looked like this time last year.

Muddy road

Our road this year

Muddy Road 2

This might be fun, but no where near as much fun as being buried in snow.

You kids are in the wrong mountains…go West young Sibes!

Please, come visit us! I saw a Sibe in the snow today, and he was a happy camper! I bet that you’ll still get snow, at least I hope so.

I don’t know if you saw that Rox’s dog, Lilly, has had a really terrible reaction to a rabies vaccine, with inflammation in her spinal cord and brain (Champion of My Heart). It’s scary but, at least Lilly is home now after almost a week in the hospital.

If it’s any consolation, I haven’t had as much sun as I’d like this summer either.

Oo your road was really pretty all buried in snow!

We have to settle for mud. Even when we went to the mountains this year there was nothing but mud.

I have to agree! At least there’s the hope of a snow day or two when you have all that pretty white stuff. The mud has gotten old!

Kinda looks like where we live in Dawson Creek. Last year at this time, we had to dig tunnels into our houses. This year, our back yard has patches of GREEN grass coming up, and our hu-Mom’s lilac bushes are starting to bud.

The weather is being so darn bizarre this year. I wish it would cut it out and get normal. We are back to more normal temps this week after what felt like early summer. I love the green grass in the backyard, but having to pay in winter to get it mowed, I am not so fond of!

My Mom says she will take deep blowing snow over mud any day of the week! Washing dog feets is not her cuppa, she says. Why wash them then???

    Cheers,
    Stella
