The Annex Surprise

Look what the hu-dad installed for us.

At the hu-grandmom’s house, the door out to the dog yard is down a flight of steps from the main living floor.  That means a human had to go down a flight of steps to let Ruby or Tartok in or out of the house anytime they wanted to be in the yard.  The hu-dad installed a storm door with a dog door to allow for easier entry and exit (when the main door was open). Since the Annex has never had a dog door, the next step was teach Ruby and Tartok how to work the door.

Hey, how does this thing work?

So I push here?

I think I am getting it now.

P.S. Thank you for your reply about the wolves – we and our human found it very interesting that they Hybrids aren’t as stable. though if you think about it, it would make sense 🙂

We know the hu-grandmom is happy about this! The bi-peds can get really grouchy when we make them keep getting up & down…hehehehehe!

As if a Husky needs to learn how to get in or out of some place. (rolls eyes) Nice job on the Husky Liberty door!

Lucky Ruby and Tartok. They sure didn’t waste any time in figuring out how to use their new door.

Doggie doors are great. A long while ago we had a Pomeranian, and terrier mix and a couple of cats. We installed a doggie/kitty door. All the pets learned quickly how to go in and out. However, the Pom, not the sharpest in the group, learned how to go out, but barked at the doggie door to come in. He eventually learned but it just confirmed his IQ level. He was the sweetest dog but not the smartest, LOL.

    Drools and licks,
