Wildlife Wednesday

We are having some work done at the house, and someone left some prints walking through a patch of concrete.

That would be a black bear in case you don't recognize the tracks (wow - we feel a little like KB over at Romping and Rolling in the Rockies)

We also have baby wild turkeys everywhere.

Though mom apparently sent out the warning signal for everyone to move on.

We are guessing this was a baby wild turkey field trip there are so many youngsters.

But we saved the wildest of all creatures for the last picture.

Check out that scowl. Some wild animals are best just left alone.

We recently saw a stump in our backyard that a bear had dug around for larvae. We’ve not seen one, but they are certainly out there! And that cat doesn’t seem at all concerned to be outnumbered.

Those wildcats are not to be messed with!

And you are very KB today! Do you have any wildlife cameras stashed there in the mountains?

OMG who does the cat belong to? Doesn’t he know the danger he’s in?

Just what is that cat thinking? Scowl or no scowl – he is no match for The Herd!

I have wild turkeys in my backyard too. They are fun to chase. The bear tracks are awesome! But I think your kitty’s scowl is more scary than the thought of running into a black bear behind the house. :->

Yikes, a bear! Riley caught herself a bird the other day, and this morning on our walk one swooped down right in front of her…luckily she was on her leash and couldn’t go catch it!

    I wouldn’t mess with those cats…scary beasts!! 🙂

That khat is a brave little critter to move in on six big dogs, and yes, she knows they are there.

Yes yes, be wary of that last critter…..

    Seriously dangerous.
