Tartok Thursday

Tartok, from across the valley at The Herd Annex, says that his sister, Ruby, gets entirely too much attention.  So, today, Tartok wants to demonstrate all of the strenuous activities that he engages in as a prime representative of a Working Dog Breed.  Ready?

We start out with the complex Table Leg Paw Hook.

The ever so difficult "rub my belly" pose.

The neck hook.

How to stop a paw from over-scratching.

In between these challenging exercises, you must remember to relax your muscles.

Even while eating, Tartok demonstrates his physical prowess.

Remember, I am a professional working dog. Don't try this at home.

Oh, good grief. At least I am actually moving when I am counter surfing. - Ruby

That’s an excellent work ethic you’ve got there, Tartok!

    Hi there!

I am fery skilled at many of those activties myself – even though I don’t have so much fluffs. Sometimes I work fery fery hard at lying on my Mumma’s legs too. It is fery strenuous work keeping her from moving off the couch.
And I really much prefer to do my eating in bed. It takes up much more energy if I do lying down & eating at the same time.

I do most of those things too Tartok. That’s because I am an honorary husky.

Ha ha! I love the “eating whilst laying down” photo. I don’t think there’s a labrador in time immemorial that could lay down while eating. They take food way too seriously for that!

Love the rub my belly shot. 🙂

This one made me laugh out loud! The girls wanted you to know that we’re pretty sure that Tartok is not just assuming the “rub my belly” pose, but that he is, in fact, holding the carpet down and making sure that it has a layer of Siberian floof embedded in it for extra softness!

Yup, that Ruby is so bossy, she even makes her way into Tartok’s post… gotta love her.

And T, you’re alway a winner in our house. not like you have to work that hard at it. you got nothin’ to prove bro. You’re all sibe, through and through…

Looks like quite a workout! You put our working dogs to shame. Please make sure you get adequate rest Tartok, we would hate for you to strain your muscles. 🙂

I TOTALLY understand what you mean Tartok! I’m an extremely hard working Malamute and I never get enough credit!
