Over and Under

Kiska here. I just need to tell a little story on my siblings.

Yep, these two right here - Natasha and Qannik.

Most of the Blue Ridge Parkway finally opened from the winter so we could get to one of our favorite high altitude trails.

The hike to the top was fairly uneventful.

But coming back down the backside of the mountain, we came up on a tree across the trail.

Hardly unusual, and something we cross many times each year.

See how I gracefully leap over the log while they - er - don't.

This is not going to work.

I couldn't help laughing at them.

So as we crossed another tree further down the trail.

I worried if they were going to remember the over - not the under.

Perfect style.

Natasha - You really had to tell that story, huh?

I’m sure they both were thinking that first log looked like a torture devise straight out of the inquisition! Kiska was VERY brave to have shown the way.

Is Kiska still alive? i hope so… or no worse for the wear after that story. after all, she is 2nd in command. QNTE needs her. Right?

Sometimes skills get a little rusty over the long winter…or maybe it is some kind of Sibe extremem challenge (“We don’t do NOTHIN’ easy” to quote Tina Turner)?

  4. Sagira on March 24, 2011 at 11:36 pm

hehe…that is silly. Maybe they were playing a game and you just didn’t know it?

To go over or to go under is a tough decision! We woul dhave to agree with you Kiska, over is better – especially as it really didn’t look that high…well to us anyway, we probably wouldn’t fit under!

All that floof makes you extra smart, Kiska.

Me ‘n Ice would probly be the same as Shawnee, and think twice about those “spikies” sticking up all over the place. And like Shawnee, would be looking for a way to go around. After all, wouldn’t want to risk getting our beautiful white tummies all dirty, either.

  8. Shawnee the Shepherd on March 24, 2011 at 1:18 pm

In their defense, I think those spiky things might have made me think twice about which way to go and knowing me, I would have probably opted for neither – can we find a way AROUND this?

Yup!! Those over unders can be tricky for some. But you all are smart and beautiful!!
