Serious – or Not

Kodiak and Cheoah are the most serious of walkers. Heads down. Focused. Steady gaits.

But we would never believe that all red heads can be serious.

Not when there is a Rusty the Rooster around.

We would love to tell you that we pose these pictures, but the reality is that Rusty is just Rusty.

Why be serious when you can be Rusty?

P.S. – Yes, for those serious fur pluckers out there. Rusty is the first to start blowing coat. How many of you tried to pluck the fur off of the side of his coat?

One can feel tired, or sad or bad, and get a look at Rusty prancing along and you can turn yourself about in a minute!

    What a sweet, funny, charmer!

A most excellent question. I’d rather be Rusty (or our R) than serious. Just sayin’…

Rusty is very much his “own (canine) person” all right. Definitely marches to the beat of his own “music” for sure, and it’s so neat to watch this in all your photos. Go, Rusty, go!

Oh man I would love to pluck those clumps out! Our dog growing up got those so I would pluck them before brushing him…

Kodiak and Cheoah are definitely on a mission. But there always has to be one that hangs back to make sure the treats are handed out properly. Rusty is doing a very good job of it!!

  20. Mack and Mia on March 16, 2011 at 9:19 am

Rusty, I am with woo! Who wants to be all serious pants all the time!

My momma tried to pull your fluffy. She does that to Mia too, no worries. She plucks with luuuuuuuv.

Gorgeous! And, yes, I am a SERIOUS plucker! I’ll follow a dog around like Sherlock Holmes until I’m able to pluck the offending floofy tuft out of its once secure spot!☺

OMD! Mamma says that is the only thing she dislikes about the sheppies- the blowing of the coat! AHHH! Tumbleweed furballs everywhere and she’s a plucker too!

Time to be the momma monkey & start plucking!!!! We too have our serious (Nia) & not so serious (Kody) walkers πŸ™‚ When we do our evening walk Kody & I are always bringing up the rear because he has to stop & sniff everything or investigate every noise or just plain be nosey nelly (someone in their garage we must sit & watch … maybe he is the neighborhood patrol watch dog..??!!!) Nia never skips a beat she may mark something here & there if we run in to someone it is Hello..pet my head…Goodbye…there is walking to be done!!

    Licks & Nibbles,
    Kody & Nia

And that’s why we’re Rusty fans! He marches to the beat of his own drummer!

I still think you could raise a lot of money auctioning off Rusty floof!

My mom has been having nightmares with my coat blowing since a month ago. I’m brushed twice or thrice daily, I know, my mom is just crazy but it seems it helps a BIT though.
    Good luck, Rusty!
