Snowy Sunday

Our sleet on Saturday changed over to snow.

A first casualty of winter - a tree across one of our fire roads.

Walking up our driveway (yes, we have Christmas wreaths on the driveway fence).

Black and white team in tight formation.

Red and white team - in a not quite so tight formation.

Sigh – what do we have to do to get snow? Maybe move to the mountains.

I can’t recall having seen so much of the US blanketed in snow this early in the year. If this is any sign of the winter ahead the dogs will be thrilled!

Wow… Your world went white, and I can tell you love it! It is good to try as many formations as possible to keep the hu-dad on his cold toes. Just sayin.

    wif love from the Luke

P.S. I’m available if the red and white team needs assistance!

The snow looks sooooooooooooo pretty from way over here! I wouldn’t mind the herd being closer, though!

  18. Piappies World on December 6, 2010 at 10:42 am

Wow! We love to see snow! You look more beautiful with the snowflakes background. Piappies Mom went for a 5k run yesterday (she’s just started, actually) and she told us that there was a husky that walked beside her and no matter so much she jogged to the finish line, she could not get ahead of the husky. So silly of her to even try. (Don’t tell her we told you)

We was very thankful to the husky because he really motivated her to finish the marathon.

We gots snow as well. Oh, could you please try and take some Christmas Card photos. I would love to see some other outtakes.

  20. Kristine on December 6, 2010 at 10:37 am

Poor little tree. The dogs look like they are loving it, though. I wish we had snow but it is all still just falling as rain. Your photos are making me feel a little better.

  21. Kit on December 6, 2010 at 10:33 am

Lovely…nothing but cold rain and few flurries here!

It was so nice seeing your snow pictures! We seldom get it here, so it’ll take a trip to our mountains to let Sage experience it for the first time!

The snow looks like so much fun!! Did Cheoah do her famous Cheoah slide?? It looks so like Christmas is getting closer. Do yall have stockings hung by the fireplace for Santa Paws???

  25. KB on December 6, 2010 at 9:29 am

And, the Cheoah snow slide??? Where’s that?

Of course the red team isn’t in tight formation, Rusty is a ringleader!

  26. SparkeeSpud on December 6, 2010 at 8:54 am

I love all of your snow! I do have a question, do you ever mix up the teams? or is it always the Black/White and Red/White groupings?

  27. achieve1dream on December 6, 2010 at 8:32 am

Pretty snow! I love that first picture. It looks so quiet and peaceful. The Herd looks ecstatic to finally have snow again. 😀

  28. Sonic on December 6, 2010 at 8:10 am

In the snow, the red and white team kinda looks like the white and white team!

Have fun in the fluffy stuff!

snow slide! Want to see more Sibe snow slides!

I am jealous of your snow. I want some for Christmas. Sigh, revel in it for me.

  31. Pamela on December 6, 2010 at 7:23 am

How do we know the Red and White team isn’t actually in a tight formation? But it’s based on the patterns in subatomic particles.

It might not be a sloppy formation. It might be genius.

  32. Houndstooth on December 6, 2010 at 7:09 am

I just knew there’d be pictures of The Herd in the snow today! I’m guessing you have to have some kind of fenced in area where they can all go crazy at times. Do they prefer walking to that?

  33. priscilla on December 6, 2010 at 6:33 am

    Two beautiful teams!

  34. BrownDog CBR on December 6, 2010 at 6:27 am

    Hi Y’all!

Wow! Y’all can walk in your driveway? Ours is short but if you tried to go down it you’d end up shooting into the middle of the road at high speed!

Snow plows are still grinding up the road and we can’t see that there are any mountains beyond the creek. Actually, standing on our porch, we see the road and the rest of the world is a grayish white. You can’t see any mountains.

The only thing keeping the snow totals down…mixture of sleet and freezing rain.

    Y’all enjoy!
    Hawk aka BrownDog
