For details about the Worldwide Moment, please see Jake and Fergie’s blog.
At 11 pm GMT (which is 6pm Eastern Standard Time for us here in the U.S.), we will all take a minute of silence to think of those who are in need or those who have already made their way to the Rainbow Bridge. We will be thinking of many, many of our friends and here is just a sampling:
K from Romping and Rolling in the Rockies who has had her toe amputated in a battle against bone cancer.
Blueberry of Tales and Tails who has just had surgery.
Golden Boy Luke (aka Cool Paws Luke) who will be receiving his fourth of four chemo treatments tomorrow.
Wilf the Polish Lowland Sheepdog who is savoring the time that has been given.
Juno of Wild Dingo who is facing a decision of whether to do a Total Hip Replacement for hip dysplasia
Phantom of the Chronicles of Woo who is recovering from surgery
Sierra who has recently made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge
We made no attempt to list everyone in need, but just wanted to give a sampling. So we invite you to do two things. (1) Join us worldwide in the moment of silence and (2) feel free to list everyone else that we should be thinking of in the comments.

Wings of Doom
December 12, 2024
A simple nightly routine with my dogs led me to face the wings of doom, a hideous creature that lurks in the shadows of my yard.
To my Sierra(also a Golden) who recently passed over the rainbow bridge. Thank you all for your moment of silence, it means a lot.
Very nice friends! We are so glad for The Moment.
Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose
We’re counting it down, less than 30 minutes to go! This is a
wonderful list of doggies that need to feel the love! Great job, Herd!

We are right there with you trying our best to remember all who have crossed and all who need the power of the paw and the power of prayer. Thanks for including Phantom, that was so very kind of you to do.

See you all at the moment of silence at 3pm PST.
This past month seems to have been hard on our friends – Sam is having surgery, Abbey has passed away, the list seems to go on. We will be joining everyone today.

We will be holding paws, Stella and I, at 5 pm central standard time, and thinking about all those you have mentioned and so very many more. I’d like to add Sulie, the little Scottie mill dog who passed just recently, after a lifetime of bravery and courage. We could also hope for those dogs who are still in the puppy mills, prisoners of greed, and hope for their release.
Thanks to Jake and Fergi for all they and their family have done to bring this about.
Cheers,
Stella, Jo and Zkhat
Woo got it! we’ll do our part to support our fellow furry pals in need.

Because Ma can’t work out what time it is, we are going to have our moment right now!
Great post!
Oh wait. One other person we should be thinking of: Puddle’s Girl, Abigail. We’re thinking of you 🙂
Our sentiments exactly. Here on the West Coast we’ll be in a beautiful place in our canyon at 3:00 PM PST, joining hands and paws in spirit and sending ‘pawsitive’ energy to ALL of Blogsville — all of us who both care and are care for by the community.
