Enough Beach; Back to Mountains

We are glad that everyone has enjoyed our beach vacation pictures (as much as we enjoyed the R&R time).  But, now, it is time to return to our mountains and enjoy what October in the mountains means:

Morning fog shrouding our favorite tree in our field.

Trading the flat, sandy beach walks for scrambling over rocks on trails.

Kiska says few things are more fun than scrambling up a mountain trail on a cold, fall morning.

What you waiting on? Want to come with us?

The one thing I miss about Alberta since moving to the East Coast is hiking in the mountains.

We want to come and walk with you on your rocks and mountains. You would all still be bigger then us but we like to play Queen of the mountain when we play on rocks.

I’m more of a mountain person than a beach person myself. Which is obviously why I live three miles from the Pacific Ocean. (But at least there are mountains not far away.)

We would love to join you, Kiska. We are having some wonderfully cool mornings and evenings here – we LOVE it. Mom has a hard time getting us to want to come inside. Happy trails and climbing.

I agree with you – there’s almost nothing better than cool hikes in the mountains in the fall. The only thing better is the spring 🙂 That’s my fave season! Have a great day out there!

  16. Minnie and Mack on October 9, 2010 at 7:17 am

Oh, I want to be there with you on a walk! (Mack will pass.) It is so beautiful on your mountain. I’ve never been to a mountain…maybe one day I’ll make it. Thanks for sharing the wonderful views, again.

Wow, how lucky to be living in the mountains. We live on big, flat plainlands, so different to where these doggies live.
