We had a great week of vacation and really enjoyed the beach, but we are all happy to back at home in our mountains. The temperatures are dropping below freezing at night and the colors on the trees are really starting to come out. We are looking forward to hiking a couple of mountain trails today.

Horrible Hurricane Helene: Why So Bad for WNC?

Hurricane Helene was a monster storm, but the way it hit Western North Carolina couldn’t have been much worse.

We always love coming home too …
Mebbe your mountains stayed dry thru the storms but I has to tell you, your vakashun rains maded it all the way up to Noo Hampsheer where we hiked yesterday and there woz lots of puddulls fur us to slosh in while we woz in the mountains.
